Default Tell us about your plans Mr Short.....

No doubt Ellis is the "strong, silent type" but there's a wave of apathy overtaking the club currently. Things aren't getting any better and the manager continues to make excuses yet we seem to have stopped really caring about it. The odd boo.....a few rants on here but nowhere near as bad as they were.

Apathy is worse than anger because once people drift away and start doing other things on match days they are very hard to win back. I know loads of lads who held season tickets for years up till the 15 point relegation season, didn't renew subsequently and hardly go over now. They still love the club but got out of the habit of going. As it stands (without cheap tickets) we are heading towards low 30k crowds.

We need some direction from Short.......either back the current manager, tell us why you won't/can't or give someone else the job.

Why don't you write him a letter?

You never know, you may have 0.01% chance of an answer rather than a big fat 0% chance by writing it on here.

    Just a thought, like.

Some things on here seem to filter back to the club. A lot of Bruce's rants must have come from reading stuff on here......there was no-one at the SOL shouting "we have expectations of European CL football which you aren't fulfilling Mrs Doubtfire" The press have been largely neutral in their opinions of him....just the odd article about him being under pressure.

In my last post, i spoke of the apathy that's draining the life out of the stadium.

    Something needs to happen!

Well, if you want to know what a decent cross section of fans are thinking, here is as good as anywhere to find out. There's polarised opinions but also good input from sensible fans who have invested lots of time and money in this club.

Any good company would want feedback on it's product from the people who buy into it.

    Canvass the owner directly.

If he doesn't know your concerns, how can he act on them?

There's a form on SAFC.com, go fill it out if you don't want to put a stamp on a letter.

Views on here are generally hysterical and polarised.

People I meet in the real world don't pant shit and knee-jerk like on here.

Sometimes it resembles a bunch of bairns screaming. It can never be taken seriously enough.

I've been Sunderland supporter for 50 yrs, an absolute fanatic regarding the lads, but over these last couple of seasons under this fella, I just can't be arsed, as it seems that the whole club just stumble from one week to the next with just a glimmer of HOPE of getting a win. I've done my shift for the lads, exspense wise it is now out of my hands, but this club is going to lose a lot of these so called fantastic supporters if things continue like they are doing. Something is fundermentally wrong inside our club, a move which saw our tallisman chairman Quinny moved sideways, and for the fans just absolute silence from within, Sunderland is just stagnating at the moment. IF we get relegated the consequences could see this club just die on its arse. This bloke just can't motivate his squad any longer, just watch his body langauge during the game when things are'nt going our way, head down, hands in pockets, and totally struck dumb. HE MUST GAN!
