I don't mind Steam actually. I remember when it was criticised when it was in the early days, but now I don't mind it.

I'll put up with having to wait until the official release date for things such as mods in the future. There's some great ones out there for Oblivion.

I've been waiting for Skyrim for a while. I've loved the series since Morrowind about 8 years ago.

    Aye,Morrowind was great.Very atmospheric.

I didnt really like vanilla Oblivion but modded it was brilliant.I liked all the texture replacers and Oscuro's overhaul.

Looking forward to Skyrim.Only a day to go

    Not long now.

My next few days will be spent wandering forests, knacking wolves and that.

    Topper.

We already knew that Skyrim was enormous, but it may be even bigger than we thought. According to Bethesda's Todd Howard, the game's Radiant story system means that there's no limit to the quests it can provide.

As you encounter each of the game's factions, such as the Dark Brotherhood, you'll be able to complete a series of scripted quests. Once you've completed all of them, smaller quests will continue to be randomly generated, such as stealing items or assassinating NPCs. The game will never run out of these quests, meaning that they can be generated infinitely.

"The vibe of the game is that it's something that you can play forever," Howard told Wired.
As if I wasn't going to put hundreds of hours into Skyrim anyway, the game will have an infinite number of quests.

    Goodbye life!

My uni work that's due on Friday looks less and less likely to be completed.

There’s a thread on the Bethesda forums listing all cards and saying what sort of settings you will be able to run at. If you cant find it I’ll hoy the link up tonight but I bookmarked it at home so it’ll be a while.

IIRC it’s not hugely demanding, certainly not compared to some games these days.
