Can drag but if you've got around 20k you can get 100 smithing in no time by making iron daggers. You can also make daedric/dragon armour by the end which looks quite cool.

Keep spending all my cash on the companions training when levelling up and not pick pocketing them, which I have just seen is a good tip.
With the 20k are ya buying iron ore/ingots?

Iron ingots and leather strips mate, I just stayed in Whitrun and bought from the blacksmith there and the Skyforge and waited for 48hours for them to restock. If you've done the companion questline I think the Gray-mane who works the Skyforge doesn't go off it if you pickpocket him so if your skill is high enough you can steal 1,500 coin from him.

Any tips on levelling up more quickly?

If you fancy levelling illusion you can use the spell Muffle outside of combat and it will still increase your level.
Also, casting soul trap on dead bodies raises Conjuration for some reason. I'm currently at 84 with that, can't wait to take the twin souls perk. Two conjured Draemora Lords.

There's a bloke in Riften you can keep doing a persuasion challenge with to raise your speech on as well, he works in the breast bit, just keep asking him about Maven.

That useless knacker got killed by a dragon. Maybe all his stuff can be taken now, if not will look out for another blacksmith.
Cheers for all the other advice, will check them out tonight.

theres a blacksmiths called warmaidens just as you enter Whiterun on your right, buy them from Andrienne Avenicci or summit then inside off someone war bear, then rest 2 days then do the same again, from 50 it took 150 iron daggers to get to 100 in smithing, well worth the hour it takes

I wasn't going to grind the Smithing and Enchanting but found myself underpowered so doing it a bit at a time. Don't want to kill the game by being able to one hit dragons, but want to stand a chance against more powerful enemies than me.
A bit like FNV I'm struggling to get a decent weapon.....
