    Default Marathon of the north

    Anybody planning on participating? I fancy doing it as its based in Sunderland and want to push myself after doing the Great north run. Can't find the website for it and ive googled it

    Done the GNR last year but not sure if I want to put meself through 26.2 miles like.....

    Cheers couldn't find the link, I wasn't sure at first but thought "well it is the first one and its in sunderland". I doubt i'll be thinking that at about 19 miles in

    Be nice to see the 10k one take off in the next few years after it shafted by the organizers of the Bupa one last year

    Yeah it will be good to see it take off, will be a good boost for the area now that there is both a marathon and a 10k.

    Tempted. Just got confirmation of my place in the London marathon which is in April but was going to do a nice rural marathon in Essex in may.

    Depends what you prefer really as to me a nice rural marathon in Essex sounds peacefu. Hopefully the Dale farm residents don't set up camp on the marathon route
