protest at monument, newcastle
some swampie types are camped out there for a local "occupy" protest. I do sympathise with the sentiment but talking to them, their stated aim of bringing down capitalism seems a little ambitious. Anyone planning on joining them?

Thats the thing with any 'protest'. Even if they have a point you'll always get far more whacko's than sensible people and people that mad are easily ignored.

Thought it was funny on the radio today. They reckon the police have been using thermal imaging on the tents at St Pauls and only one in ten was occupied at night - the crusty buggas are going home for a kip (but obviously not a shower).

Aye, it's the same mob who you can bank on to be there for anti vivisection, free Palestine, save the whale / tiger / lesser spotted shrimp , anti this, pro-that but on this occasion. They've been there couple of weeks now though and gotta take my hat off to them on this occasion. I think.

Although I sort admire what they're doing whilst they're looking at the bigger picture and trying to change the world we live in, I just think, what's the fucking point?
Wikileaks, supported around the world, can't even make a difference because nobody will process their payments. If Wikileaks hasn't got a chance what the hell can we do? The state has us done in

Been there ages. It's a bit pitiful. Can't see anyone in a position to change out caring they are there. Probably unaware of it as well.
