    Quicker if you go thru Kirby Stephen as I'm sure you know, wouldn't that make it 5 ?

    Both routes almost identical distance wise, about 147 miles.

    A1 - M62, should be faster as mostly motorway, but heavier traffic and roadworks.
    Probably quicker blasting over the A66 to Tebay, then less than an hour down the M6.
