It's fairly easy mate. Just buy some Sensor Swabs ( the right size for your camera) and the fluid and follow the instructions. Try a rocket blower first, if it's just dust though, as this often works. I paid £40 for a shop to do it about 5 years back, but after doing it myself I would never pay a shop again.

What camera is it? Chances are it will be aps-c unless it's a git big expensive full frame job.

standard size cropped sensor, the only Sony with a large full frame is the 850 or 900 I think...

Give it a good going over with the Rocket Blower first. If that doesnt shift it, this is the gear you're after.

I just used 99% IPA and 100% cotton cotton buds. Clean in a series of strokes in the same direction. Got the advice from a mate who astro-modifies cameras for a living. Stop the lens right down and take a shot of the sky to check for dust bunnies.

I read somewhere that's what the Canon service centre do too. But they dint acknowledge it, in case they have hundreds of customers with a claim, in case they fuck up their sensor.

BTW... I had to google IPA.. I was wondering why you were rubbing beer on your cameras most intimate bits
