Default Recommend a good car for the snow

Live near a canny steep bank and considering getting a car that can handle it when the snow starts falling. Thought that a 4 wheel drive would be the best option but wondered if there's owt else that anyone has that handles the winter roads well.

    Cheers

Little cars are the best mate. Had a Honda and a Clio last winter. The Honda was shite but the little Clio just bounced on top of the snow champion. Loved drivin past all the big, expensive cars and Land Rovers stuck on the side of the road, spinnin arl awer.

Or try a BMW mate, i've heard they're canny.

4x4 is nice but you pay a big premium on the other 51 weeks of the year when you dont benefit from it at all.

Don't touch a German car - utter shite in the snow

Do get a set of winter tyres - amazing how much of a difference they make
