It's got a lot worse now, a mate still lives down there in the Folsil road area, there are regular running gun battles in the streets with the Albanians and Russians over drugs and prostitution now, it depends on where you are staying though I suppose, steer clear of Folsil road.

I'm afraid it's had limited charms when I've been there before. I think it suffered from the WWII damage leaving it open to the blight of post-war modern planning.
