    Default I phone help!!!
    How do I put a video from my laptop on to my iPhone. Its a windows media or vlc. It works when I plug my harddrive into my DVD player but I can't get it on my mobile.

    You'll have to convert into mp4 or another compatible file first.

    You could also put the free VLC app on your iphone and then add the file in it's current format and it will still play it.
    That's what I do although someone on here was saying the vlc app was no longer available although mine still works fine.

    Dunno how they put up with the faff, personally. Plug it into USB, drag the file, watch the file. It should be that easy.

    Perhaps they're boycotting simple drag and drop because some day it won't be used any more.
