when you play Chelsea....
Or any of the top top teams you expect to be second best.
Yes its made worse by the rut were in at the moment but....it wasn't that bad, look at the results we've had against Chelsea in recent years (forget about the 3-0 where we turned up as Barcelona) was it any worse than we've seen before...IMO no.
Chelsea dominated possession which you expect them to do, but we created some good chances...Bendtner had a great opportunity with a header same with Larsson, Sess had a good effort and with a little more composure we could have created a couple more before putting them under pressure at the end but we're in a bad run and players are making wrong decisions through lack of confidence within the whole club.
Their two goals had a little bit of luck, first one IMO shouldn't have been a free kick so they were all up the park and have the advantage by having all their players in our box....half decent finish but he's still a twat. The second, Sturridge made a good run but it came off the post and he was lucky Wes was so close to it otherwise it gets cleared easily, he's also a twat.
Looking at their other chances Mingolet hardly had to make any 'world class' saves to deny them for a side that 'dominated' so much.
Now before people start fucking whinging calling me a happyclapper it was far from being good but it wasn't as bad as most will make out, one thing that was clearly obvious was that 442 gave the team more freedom and confidence, Ji and Wickham are young but they need to take turns in the second striker role with Sess on the wing or the tip of a diamond.
More movement, more confidence and we'll start to play football...the teams got the quality to finish mid table but we need to make sure confidence doesn't get that low that we cant pull ourselves out of it.
Cue the knackers
