European tour, Lads holiday 2012.
Me and a few mates are wanting to go away and basically rent a massive camper-van that sleeps up to as many as 8 people, We want to leave from home in the north east, drive to Dover, get the ferry across to Calais then take the camper-van through Europe to the European championships in Poland/Ukraine.
We will all be 21, one being 25 by the time we leave for the games, We all hold full driving licenses and no-one has any penalties.
Could anyone give me a bit of information about how to go about getting this all started?
Cheers.

They are very expensive. Even between 8. With fuel, insurance surcharges and that.
The minimum age to rent will definitely be 25. No idea of firms who rent them out in the UK but I'm sure a google will find.
Alternatively buy a cheap van and all kip in the back then sell it when you get back.

Ive looked on the first few websites and they said they'd only accept drivers over 25. However i went on www.wickedcampers.co.uk and they say you only need to be 21 for Europe which is ideal. It worked out at a rent of £2700 from the start of the Euros til the end, only problem being the max size they do is for 6 people.

ditch the camper van, fly into Prague and get to wherever you want by train/bus - much less hassle - just take backpacks with tents and sleeping bags and camp wherever. From Prague you can do Germany, Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine etc and it will be a lot cheaper than hiring a camper van
