Default David O'Leary and George Graham

Are these 2 unemployable in the modern game?

Did they decide to not bother managing again, or would nobody touch them with a bargepole?

There seems to be a list of managers (who have never managed in years) who always seem to get linked with vacancies but never get the job. The two you have mentioned plus Hoddle, Venables, Sgt Wilko at one time (Until we appointed him ).

I actually think Hoddle would be a good appointment for a top championship club.

If you can get a lay on Graham on any manager market on betfair you set off a little fanfare

If IIRC George Graham was sacked by Spurs just after he signed a new contract. The terms of his settlement probably prevented him taking up a new job straight away. Added to that he would probably only take on a big club.

    That was yonks ago though.

Perhaps they've just lost the appetite for the game but they'd surely be a better bet than some appointments that are made.

The problem is that they'd both want big wonga I suppose.

It's strange how managers are in vogue and then disappear.

I'd also have thought that Denis Smith would have managed better clubs after he left SAFC but he ended up at Wrexham didn't he?

Reid has totally gone out of favour too.

It was a long time ago but once you are out of the game for few years it must be duifficult to get the big jobs.

Look at Dalglish. Liverpool were reluctant to appoint him the first time even though he was working at the club.

Yes good point, once you lose your mojo it's difficult to regain it.

There's a few who've managed good clubs then just seemed to disappear. Roy Evans at Liverpool dont think he ever managed again? Howard Kendall, even Steve Coppell.
