Default Putting a shed on a patio

Would you sit it on breeze blocks or something just to keep the base of the shed off the floor so it's not sitting in puddles of rain water?

Sometimes I feel like the pied piper...

I'm thinking the base of the shed will soak up ground water.

Through a patio - what's your patio made of? Bread?

There will probably be about an inch of clearance between the ply floor of your shed and the patio (depends on the shed)

Not really, the only other place we have to put it would be behind the garage, but then it would be covering a manhole cover.

The patio is a bit shit if I'm honest, it was already down when we bought the house and always has grass growing through it.

And how many times have you needed access to the man hole?

I'd just stick it over the top and if you have to in the future worry about it then.

You never know when you'll need to access a manhole, just because you've not needed to in the past doesn't mean you won't in the future, covering it with a shed would be stupid idea.
