Not just a foreign name, he is a quality player. Real Madrid don't bid (and have rejected) that amount of money for an average player. Anyone with a decent knowledge of spanish football knows he is an excellent player when fit.

No he doesn`t clubs can register up to 25, if they only register 23 than they can add another 2 out of contract players at anytime

Clubs have to register 25 if they are eligible and under contract.

As we have more than 25 senior players under contract, then we have no choice.

I read 5pm the day after the window closes. Which was yesterday.

"The 25-man squads must be submitted to the Premier League by 5pm on the day following the close of each transfer window."

For no spainish or premier league clubs to have brought in a player of his reputation it screams out to me there is something really wrong with him fitness wise. Ability wise hes a great player but it has all the tell tale signs that his career is almost finished to me.

the lads only just turned 30 though zenden was 32 when we signed him. 2 years can make all the difference when your coming to the end of your career.

Zenden had been playing 30+ consistantly over the previous 4-5 seasons before we signed him.

vicente averaged around about 18 games per season majority of them being off the bench and its widely know he has big fitness problems.

Ability and experience wise you can't doubt his pedigree. So you've got to think why has another premier league or spanish side not tried to sign him? I think they have been warned rite off.
