(joint) top of the Blue Square prem, 5 wins out of 6. Anyone watch them from here?

Re: Gateshead FC
always look out for the scores and then watch their highlights on the internet, was very impressed with them when watching, Gateshead v Safc reserves. They have a striker/winger who is rapid, can't remember his name begins with 'o' like.

Boooooo.
Fuck off The Heed etc.
Seriously, they seem to be doing well this season. Would be a fantastic achievement if they manage to go up and could bed just the springboard they need.

That big black lad Omni they have was superb yesterday, fast as hell and puts a good ball in, then Shaw is a natural goal scorer, its looking good for them so far.

Would love to see them in the football league.
They've added two or three top signings and look fairly unbeatable.

Think there's history there but not sure exactly what it is.
I know that the Heed hate Spartans and vice versa but that's because they've been knocking around the same leagues for years now.

years ago, the team who finished bottom of the old fourth division had to be either voted in or out by the other 91 clubs.
gateshead finished bottom once and were voted out, sunderland voted to keep them in, and newchavsville voted them out.
hartlepool finished bottom 9 times but were never relegated.
the gateshead chairman is also a big sunderland fan, and used to be on the sunderland board...........cant remember his name, but im sure tynevalleyblack will be along shortly to fill in the missing bits
