[BBC] Steve Bruce 'worried' by lack of Sunderland goals
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce admits it is "worrying" that his side are creating plenty of chances without scoring as they lose 1-0 after extra time to Championship side Brighton in the second round of the League Cup.

maybes he should try starting with a striker for games. just a suggestion. £8mill for wickham....doesnt start even though could do with a run out. £3mill for ji dong, could do with english football practice

They are both young and raw and it will be interesting to see how they step up to the challenge. Some need nurturing, some explode onto the scene. I just hope Bruce is a good reader of characters and provide the relative amounts and correct type of support throughout the team for both of them once they are hoyed in the deep end.
