Bitterly disappointing of course.
Minge 5 Generally played OK apart from the goal, and spilling that shot. But he does not give off any air of authority. He was never meant to be first choice. Put Westwood in pending Gordon's recovery.
Bardsley 6 Again tried but not enough. Poles apart from Hutton, wish we had him back. Tackle was a shocker, but it was there to go for.
Ferdinand 5 Ameobi beat him nearly every single time. We will never progress with him in the side. Sell him to West Ham or anyone. Slow as fcuk. No passion, speed or guts. How he is still on the books beggars belief. O'Shea, Turner ,Bramble or even Laing must start ahead of him.
Brown 6 I am sure he will have better games but still obviously class. That is from someone who never previously rated him. But it's all relative.
Richardon 5 He's not a full back. So that means he is nothing. Sell ASAP.
Colback 7 A storming 1st half, skinning them down the left and some great crosses. Played well at left back too and I would play him there short term.
Cattermole 6 Would have been 7 but for that 2nd half tackle. 1st half was best he's played in a long time, tidying up everywhere. Bit he's been a liability for too long, even on his best day he picked up another silly booking. It's one yellow card a game now. I would sell him whilst he still has value.
Elmo 5 Stared well, but became anonymous second half. I can understand starting him due to his pace, but rarely shows it.
Larsson 6 He's playing out of position. He gets thee extra mark for his set pieces, which, whilst not brilliant yesterday, at least beat the first man. I can remember one corner/free kick causing havoc which nearly went in. Put in Elmo's place.
Sess 8 Tried hard throughout, sublime skills, some good efforts, unlucky. But is he an unlucky player? All his efforts seem to be from way out, which are rarely going to go in. But with the right people around him, he would be sensational. MOM for us.
Gyan 6 A difficult one. I am not with those who say he had a bad game, He did try, he made room for himself often. BUt he had no help up there. He is a class act, but how to get the best out of him is Bruce's problem
AND ...Gardiner, Wickham, JI -not really enough time, although Ji seems a bit lightweight and frankly Wickham seemed like a bit if a plank....but very early days.
Very sad this Sunday morning. Never been convinced by Bruce, but obviously Quinn will not do anything after 2 games. I wonder how many drawn and lost games it would take...
(all sales referred to above dependent on getting replacements in...and time is quickly running out. As we all know, we desperately need a left winger, left back (although O'Shea/Colback could do that short-term) and a prolific striker (but then again, who doesn't?)
We could easily have won yesterday and this board would be euphoric. How thin is that dividing line between success and failure. I'm getting cnuts of mags putting shite all over my Facebook wall. At times like this I'm glad I'm an exile!
