    Think those living on all the new estates built next to them may not be so keen. Beaching was an arse like and seem to recall reading somewhere that most of his findings were based on poor studies and deeply flawed.

    or even stick a load of tarmac over the lines and run a half decent bus service along them.

    there is definately an argumetn to bring some of them back.

    TFL can start by extending the central line back out to Ongar or at least onto North Weald and Harlow.

    would mena more scratters on the line but at least Epping would have less harlow traffic nicking all the parking

    There is a canny little journey between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier too. Lovely little old fashioned station at Lymington town.

    The Scarborough Whitby line would have been amongst the best in the country. A crime it was closed down

    I'm all for putting the old Leamside line back into use. Walk along it regularly, some of the track is alright, a lot of it would need replacing.
