I'm guessing you spend a lot of time in the campsite
3 things to eat - there's £15
Get in the arena around 2pm, stay til 12. Even if you have a pint an hour, there's £40 in pints (more like £50-60 )
Hot cider on the way back to camp - £4
Unless your one of these people you see on the telly WITHOUT a pint in their hand watching a band

I barely eat tbh and just have shots of my spirits now and again. Which is much easier to do at Glasto, for example, since you can watch bands with your own drink, none of this arena/campsite bollocks.
Don't like staying in the arena all day as well. Like chilling out around the tents with mates, having a few drinks. You get too knackered and just bored of bands if you stay in the arena all day imo.
Don't really drink beer much at a festival either as i just piss loads and would end up missing loads of bands. Best for me to stick to spirits.

So you get bored of bands, but don't want to miss them either?
We spent loads of time round the camp at T and I felt cheated. We usually drink round the tent from about 10 til 2, then go in.
If I wanted to do that, i'd camp in a field somewhere for nowt. Plus, we're always in brown, so the 1/2n hour walk each way dissuades you from nipping back to the tent.

Although there are probably a solid 20 bands I'd like to see this year, I don't think there is enough consecutive acts I'm arsed about to keep me in the arena 2-12. That coupled with the fact you can't take your own drink into the arena, festival pints being rotten and overpriced, I tend to pop off for a couple of hours inbetween bands.
Plus I'm doing it on a tiny budget this year anarl thanks to having already been to Ibiza and to Greece with our lass. Remorse.

I get bored if i see too many aye, i like to make sure i see the ones who i'm desperate to see though.
I think i'm comparing it too much to Glasto, i guess, where it's much easier to dip in and out of bands because you can virtually camp right next to a stage and this means you're always right in the atmosphere.

Same here, the not being able to take drink in is a real killer. Spoilt Latitude a bit for me.
Me budget is miniscule as well due to already doing 3 other full festivals this summer.

I've got £130 to buy drink to take, food and pay for my lift.
Think I'm just stocking up on beef jerky, nuts and tinned mackerel and pineapple. Garna have an arsehole like the Japan flag it would seem.

I've never tried to do it on a budget - I think if you have to watch your money, it spoils your enjoyment. Thing is, I can never understand it when I see people without a drink. I see it as the same as being in the pub for 10 hours - you finish a pint and get another. I don't drink spirits in the arena cos they don't last long enough before you have to trek back to the bar again. We normally set our base camp next to the sound desk, so it's near both the bog and bar, but you can still just about make out the stage. Very rarely travel any further down these days, as no sooner as you get there, you need the bar or bog again. I think the last time was the Foo Fighters in 02 when I couldn't be arsed to fight my way out so I got the bouncers to lift me out the front.
Will be making an exception for Frank Turner though. Will just have to piss in a cup.
