Default newcastle keeping carroll money back.

    Untill the january transfer window.
DEREK LLAMBIAS has broken Newcastle United’s silence on the club’s summer spending plans this summer.

The Toon managing director also hinted some of the Andy Carroll transfer cash may be held back until the January transfer window – but says that all of the money will be pumped back into the club.

Llambias said today: “I can assure everyone that not a single penny of the £35m has left the club and neither will it. It is all going back in.

“We have acted early and we have got the players we wanted, but none of them have been cheap. We have paid good prices for them. They certainly weren’t free transfers, there are fees and wages to consider.

“It is our responsibility to make sure we look after the club responsibly.

“If we spent all the money on players this summer, what are we going to do in January if we need to bring somebody else in? We are using the money sensibly.”

sensible stuff from the mags as always- don't spend money now, save it for January when it is notoriously hard to get decent players in and almost impossible to get them for a reasonable price

Surely this suggests any interest in the likes of Gervinho and N'Zogbia was just a smokescreen all along. Build em up, knock em down

Well they have probably already spent about 12mil of it on cabaye marveux and ba. As the latter two would of got a large signing on fee

Players are twice as expensive in January
Let them get on with it I say.

Some Is he saying that the club would have invested no money on the squad if we hadn't sold Carroll?

We spent zero in Jan 2011. In fact we saved AC's wages, Xisco's & Routledges.

Okay the frees aren't free ... but stop lying to us.

We have 52,000 attendances and they invest less money than clubs with 20-30,000 attendances.

I'm sick of Llambias & Pardew trying to "spin" this.

Get some money spent and buy us a new No9.

The unwashed are putting us to shame with their ambition and reinvestment of transfer monies.
