How certain do you reckon it is that Man Utd can get into the semis?

they have odds of 2.40 for it.

Seems pretty likely imo. They made it in 07-08, 08-09, 09-10 (lost on away goals to Bayer and just missed out) 10-11

Seems like a canny return for something I'd say is about 70% likely

The odds are 7/5. That gives them a 71.4% chance of progression, you say they're 70% likely to make it, ergo in your mind the odds should be about right.

Odds of 7/5 (2.40) are equivalent to 41.67%.

71.42% would be odds of 2/5 (1.40).

bookies think it's 30% less likely than my 70% estimate.

7/5 as said above is 1.40 which is what Barcelona have got.
