I was gutted when he left.

to be fair he was bloody lucky to have got away with only 1 red. He was as much of a red card waiting to happen as Catts was at the start of last season.

He seemed pretty good at first, but trailed off badly towards the end, very possibly having been told to limit his recklessness.

Dont want him back anyhow, as i dont see that we can afford the luxury of two hot heads in midfield.

The big picture is we could have used Cana in the derbies and many other games where the midfield was overrun last season. He's better than what we had.
He was only better than what we had last season when we had nothing, which was far too often with all the injuries we had. He only played well for 90 minutes in around two games all of last season, the rest of the time he either played fairly well in one half and completely disappeared the very next or he was simply dogshit for the full match.

you are right he was very lucky to only see one red card while with us. Also he did get worse once he told the press he would have to try and stop getting booked all the time. He went from playing ok until halftime then being shit to simply being shit all the time

I honestly think he played out of his skin against Arsenal and Liverpool as he was putting himself in the shop window.
