Re: Jamal Bouzid Fun Day
I would just like to inform you's all of how our Jamal Funday went on the 17th July. We also had a small event last sunday and as such the total raised has just been finalised.
Despite rain for most of the day, we managed to have not only a successful day, but a fantastically enjoyable one. We managed to get a bouncey castle with a cover on, so the kids could still play on there, and the football competition was naturally run outdoors aswell. Indoors we had a whole host of activities including a magician, various singers, a guy who made balloon animals and a quiz.
In between showers we managed to get the football tennis going, along with a golf shot competition, some stocks to pelt wet sponges at any victims and a penalty shoot out. The barbeque was running non stop from 10 til almost 6 and despite the weather the place was heaving. Everybody there had a great time and the day was a roaring success. Even the raffle was good fun! We managed to raise and astonishing £1,415:24 on the day, as well as £1,000 from Durham FA which gave us a massive total of £2,415:24
We would just like to say a BIG thank you to everybody who contributed to making the day such a big success, including:
