    Default Senheiser headphones

Paid £20 for a set of the above, couldn't half tell the difference, (Sid couldnt play bass-who knew?)

Want to upgrade further, how much would I look to pay before it got to silly money?

    Cheers

Depends on what you would regard as silly money. My Sennheiser's cost just over 30 reduced from about 70 and they sound great however my Audio Technica headphones which cost a bit more sound much better

Get a pair of Sennheiser HD 25-SP II. About £130 if you can stretch that far, but well worth it, both for live work and listening.

One of the review complained that the cable is too long and gets tangled. You come across that? Not a disaster I wouldnt have thought

No, never had that problem. I'm a professional. Actually, I often even add an extension!
