I know he had his injury problems but fuck me, 17 million and only 27 games for Man U. Never realised it was that low:

Doubt they had to pay the full amount , im sure a lot of the fee would have been performance related .

A fit Hargreaves would be class. His free kick against Arsenal was the best goal of 2(3?) seasons ago.

I thought that if he would be willing to come here, top class and Englands best player at the 2006 WC. But if Man U won't give him a pay as you play deal you have to feel he is finished sadly.

He was played out of position all the time, Sven used him as a utility player rather than the best English holding midfielder (which he was), the "must play Gerrard and Lampard" together in the middle disease.

Hasn't hardly played for about 5 years and fans expecting him to be class?

He wasn't even that good when he was in his peak. Decent player who was always overhyped.

Keep him well away from SAFC please. Another crock sitting about doing fuck all taking up a place in the 25 man squad is what we don't need.
