Default Taking our time over transfers

Am I the only person who thinks its a good thing and is exactly what we should be doing when spending millions of pounds of the clubs money?

We should not be rash, but if it means we miss out on players and have to settle for second best, the no.

Have we established that we take any longer than anyone else then?

It depends. We're obviously interested in N'Zogbia and have been for a few seasons now but we've been unwilling to match Wigan's asking price. Perhaps we've been right in the past but N'Zogbia was instrumental in Wigan's survival last season. Had he been part of our squad we would have more than likely finished higher.

Now all of a sudden Liverpool are heavily linked with him. If we lose out on a good, young player for the sake of a couple of million after selling Bent and Henderson it would take the piss a bit. Unless of course Bruce has someone better in mind.

We've seen what happens to clubs who spend money recklessly.

The club is losing money every season at the moment, this last 12 months might be the first one for a while when we don't.

The fans can easily spend the money they haven't got to account for.

There's plenty of the summer still to go, and we've signed at least 3 players to date, and the window doesn't officially start until next Friday.

Responsible fans want the club to be run properly, there's no point in running it into the ground.

Judging by the backlash I have received on the other thread, I`ll hazard a guess at No

The people who are going on moaning about the lack of transfer activity, need to remember, the transfer window doesnt open until July 1st anyway.

No need to panic. especially since transfers dont go through till the date above, regardless of when the signing is confirmed

Depends on whether you get a better deal by taking longer.
