Default Craig Gordon at a Crossroads

His days with us seem numbered, but his recent and current injuries don't make him that attractive a prospect.

    Speculation seems to be:
Celtic (massive step down and to a club embroiled in religious bigotry- not an attractive option IMHO)

Man City (to watch Joe Hart play - but could turn out well as I reckon he could give Hart a run for his money)

Arsenal (again he would have to fight for the No1 Jersey)

I wish the lad all the best. Top keeper who has been recently unlucky but can still cut it at the top.

we shouldnt be selling him imo. give him chance to recover, we'll regret letting him go. pulled off some of the most amazing saves ive ever seen in his time here. if he goes to arsenal and is fit he'll be the number 1 easily. whos he gonna have to fight off there?

Maybe, I would say that a move to Ranger or Celtic from a mid to lower prem team is a sideways step. Moving away from the best league in the world but moving to play for a team with a similar if not larger fan base, to compete for the league every season, win cups and play in Europe.......and in this case to move back to your home country

I don't think either ManC or Arse will sign a seriously injured player. Gordon isn't going to be fit for the start of the season (not pre-season training) so its going to be a long time before he's match fit. If they did sign him, they'd have to have cover for him for the start of the season.

The risk is he might be permanently damaged by what has happened and never attain the heights he was at. No-one's going to gamble millions on that.

As for us signing Westwood, well we need three good keepers and Carson is going / gone so we need someone. Better get someone decent too as Craig might not fully recover and we will be left with SM and Westie in the frontline until the January transfer window opens. Quite a sensible approach IMHO.

    Dead end more like.

A club may take him on even if he is injured provided the deal is ok.
