The 'Cool as' 35 to 45 age range thread.

Welcome my brothers and sisters of this age range.

We were the generation who who introduced the Rubic cube and electronic gaming to the masses. The first generation to not get married early as the norm. We introduced a new cool trend called Hip Hop and break dancing, the first to wear our school ties short with the thin end at the front, we were true rebels to the state. We got Benidom nicknamed Bonkidom due to our wild sexual antics. We ditched working man clubs to go to Warehouse Raves and acid house parties.
We started an old soul music revival(Mcmillians, Blackpool Soul weekenders), we were the proper definition of cool young boy racers in our customised Ford Escorts MK1's, Fiesta XR2's, etc, when doing cars up was fun and all DIY in our art(eg Go faster stripes

). We were at the right age to appreciate the Goodies. We made electronic music compete and establish itself with Guitars and other instruments, we made bleeps have soul. We felt the glory of the emergence of the Whisper Bar. We made it acceptable to go drinking down the town still regardless of getting older, we changed this country into a more cool fun place and finally gave youth a voice.
No wonder other generations are jealous of us.

And now at this moment in time we are not young and naive or old fuddy duddy grump twats. And as we wear our Retro Addidas trainers the young and old look on in awe and see us as an example to follow to be where it's at.
