Watch a documtery called Collapse. It's about world resources helping create the industrial revolution and in turn causing population to explode. Use of fossil fuels for transport and moving food and medicine is directly proportional to population and as they dwindle the same will happen and oil will only get more expensive until it's gone.
Nuclear may look dangerous after what has happened in Japan, but prety soon we will really need it
