to me it looks a completely different situation, Bent engineered his own move after delcaring his love for the club, the area and the fans whereas Hendo may have been ambitious I don't think he was desperate to move.

liverpool will be challenging for a champions league spot, villa will not. Henderson went to further his career (hard to take but understandable), Bent went for the money (i'm sure henderson is getting more money but at a better team)

Is it likely that it was a similar situation to the pikey where he was persuaded by Quinny and Ellis, SB was not keen for him to go, and Henderson is Sunderland through and through ???

Totally different situation. b£nt wasn't trying for several weeks (despite all this kissing the badge rubbish and his "I love Sunderland" charade) and turned up for the biggest game of the season with a transfer request in his pocket. He went to that massive club who get smaller crowds than us who we did the double over, were potentially in a relegation battle and tries to insult our intelligence by saying he went for footballing reasons.

Hendo's sittuation could hardly be more different,and he was at least committed to SAFC at the end of the season. He has conducted hinself in a proper way whilst joining a club who have genuine european aspirations (not sure they will be challenging for the title for some years yet but that's my opinion anyway).

So Hendo will get a polite round of applause from me next year whereas the greedy b£nt git will get the untold abuse he deserves.
