Is Quinn losing his credibility
With Hendo looking like leaving and some of the rumoured names that we're in for would any of you say that he is doing a good job (putting sentiment and past achievements, player and chairman, aside)?

I still think that he's doing a good job. He's working us towards a better financial position and keeping us in the Prem in the process. Its going to be a long haul from here, trying to do it under our own steam. We simply must get our collective heads around the fact that we will have to sacrifice players to keep going in the right direction.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pro-Quinn but some of the things he says and some of the things he does are two different things. He is definitely losing the trust of some supporters in my opinion.

Re: Is Quinn losing his credibility
What fucking planet do people live on? Clubs, especially ones like us, can't just sit there and accumulate players. Decisions have to be made. Selling one player here and using the money to bring in two or more is exactly how teams like ours go about competing in this league.
Moyes has ben doing it for years at Everton. Spurs have had to sell off players like Berbatov in order to bring in the players that take them to another level. Villa have had to do it, Liverpool did it in January, even Man Utd. You can't just buy, buy, buy and not expect to have to sell on the occasion as well.
I like Henderson a lot, but 18-20 million is good business. He'd be worth half of that if he wasn't English.

That is just as inevitable as the fact that Bruce will one day get the chop, though. It isn't possible to stay around in football administration for long periods without pissing people off from time to time. The reality of what we can achieve as a club and ensuing apathy will see to that. However, should he complete the establishment of SAFC as a upper mid table Premier league team - and somehow win a cup on the way - then Quinn would be advised to get going. Don't think he can be expected to achieve any more.

Re: Is Quinn losing his credibility
Every season with Quinn at the helm has seen another improvement in both the quality of the squad and the finishing league position.
Yes, he's doing an outstanding job.

If he kept his gob shut a bit more he wouldn't expose himself in this way.

Hard headed financial business will always come first.
