    good read that,hes never been a fan of the royals has morrisey.

    i was a big smiths fan years ago,had all the albums.brilliant band.

    Seen the Smiths live once and Morrissey twice great nights.

    Whether one agrees with Morrisey on the Queens visit to Ireland or not one thing is evi dent he is not a student of the British constitution. The Queen as in most countries where there is a Monarchy is a Constitutional Monarch as opposed to an Absolute Monarch. That means that they cannot interfere in matters of state.
    No matter how abhorrent Mrs Thatcher may have been the Queen cannot dismiss a Prime Minister nor indeed criticise the Government.
