Bolton Wanderers rival Sunderland for Argentine defender

According to reports Bolton Wanderers are battling with Sunderland to land Argentinos Juniors defender Santiago Gentiletti.

The 26 year-old's representatives have confirmed the interest of both clubs ahead of this summer’s transfer market.

Agent Spencer Cohen said: "There is interest of some English clubs and we will discuss these options with Gentiletti."

Gentiletti is a left-sided centre-half who can also play at left-back.

Surely if they have not left south america by the time they are 23/24 they are not going to make it?

You'd think by they are past 25 or so then it would be much harder to adapt.

Looking at Wiki though, I'd say a tiny percentage of Argentine players who have played in the Premier League have succeeded here.
