Quick question re what double time costs an employer
just wondering if anyone knows this one. If an employee is on, say £10 an hour, the employer has to pay extra on top of that (employers NI contributions etc) so probably ends up paying nearer to £13 an hour (or whatever). If the employee was to work for an hour on a Saturday and get double time, would that mean they would get one hour at £20 and it would end up costing the employer around £26 (for arguments sake), or does one or more of the add ons that the employers pay not double when it is double time (so does it end up just costing £23 or so, or £24 etc due to the % on top of the wage not being exactly double what it would have been at single time)?
Very badly worded question, which is why i can find fuck all on google, but hopefully someone on here will have a clue what the fuck I'm asking
