Exactly, fine with the legs of Colback and Henderson alongside him, put him in a 4 man midfield and we'd be overrun (2nd half v West Brom for example).

Not sure about keeping him next season, as I said I'd only play him in 451 which I don't think Bruce wants to do and I'd guess he's on a fair whack.

he was my man of the match today. totally commited, ran his pluck out and played a blinding captain's role.

i'd keep him next year for his possible influence and experience to pass on to our younger players, as well as his playing abilities.

But would he want to stay for half a dozen appearances a season? I recall him wanting assurances that he get plenty of games this term before he signed on for us again so I'm guessing he must be disappointed with the number of run-outs he's had.

i agree but i'd like to think bruce could persuade him to stay.
i thought it was a good thing to give him the captaincy today, seemed to revel in the responsibility.

He's the club captain anyway. Cattermole is the team captain.
