    Default Coppers in Boldon ?

Came from work this morning around 7:30 ish and the auld bill had the road blocked from the roundabout where the driving range is on Newcastle road until the set of traffic lights where the church is, the one with the new cameras.

Any ideas, canny stretch of road to block off.

Well I'm at the bus stop in boldon and the traffic collision unit just went past and the traffic up and down front street seems fine

    From BBC Traffic News website

A184 Tyne And Wear - A184 Front Street in East Boldon closed, queueing traffic and delays in both directions between the Gordon Drive junction and the Bridle Path junction, because of a serious accident. Diversion in operation - via Boker Lane, New Road, Tile Shed Lane and through Cleadon Village

That was updated about 20 mins ago - 7.45am

Another accident at that junction, they should just close off the access to Boker Lane and make everyone go the long way round. There'll be no traffic and no more accidents, problem solved.

Fatal smash at the lights 5am today, 22-year-old driver killed. We've had a photographer out there and the car's a real mess. Pic in today's paper.

Or, indeed, just above this by the time I'd posted.
