    Default the current situation

hugely disappointing, had such high expectations that Bruce would push us onto the next level this season.

with regards the awful runs that SAFC teams go on, this must have something to do with the atmosphere that surrounds this club during times of adversity, it is pretty contagious. Denis Smith alludes to it in his autobiography when he describes arriving at the club, he was shocked how that set of players had ended up in the arse of the league and spoke and said one of his primary objectives was lifting the doom and gloom from the players and supporters alike.

back to Bruce, I have revised my assessment of what contributes success this season. I'd be happy to aviod a relegation battle going into the last few games of the season. Its not that I won't feel massively let down by Bruce and Co but I think he deserves another chance next season to move us on. I don't beleive he has become a bad manager over night and I reckon if given another chance next season, if he doesn't kick on then he can have no complaints.

I do think he has made 2 big mistakes relying in injury prone players to start games and expecting players who have been out for months to come back in straight away and put in performances. But the atmosphere amongs supporters is dragging the team under, they players confidence appears fragile and getting on their back is only going to make them more afraid to make mistakes, they need our backing. A bit like Blackpool supporters the other day.

from now on I am 100% behind Bruce.

We have to be if we stand any chance of getting out of this mess.

I can see both sides of the argument regarding Bruce staying or going. I am not saying this will happen but what if we get some results and end up in the top ten which would be an improvement on last season, would those who want Bruce out still want it?

Yes,regardless of what happens in the last 6 games I will still want Bruce gone in the summer.
Last season I gave him the benefit of the doubt after the 14 game winless run and it's happening all over again and is simply unacceptable.
