One reason is that there isn't a multinational drinks company marketing St George's day for their own means and hawking it as 'tradition' as there is St Patricks.

If people went out they would. People don't go out for St. George's day because there's not engouh cheap drink deals and promotions. The Breweries don't push it in the same way Guiness does for Paddys day.

Add that to the fact that barely anyone even knows when it is due to the lack of promotion the only ones bothered about it are hardcore nationalists and BNP nutters so the majority of people out are therefore skin head wankers singing about how they hate pakis it's no wonder people don't bother.

Off to the caravan straight after the match. This has fuck all to do with St George, but you did ask.

    And me

It would help if it could be made into a bank holiday every year like. People seem to be mustering up enough enthusiasm for a Royal Wedding, saying they want street parties and the like, but can never be arsed to celebrate St Georges day (or find out when it even is)
