He's been fucking shite this season and in particular since he came back in against Stoke. I didn't want him to sign last summer because he never plays enough games, now I just don't want us to sign him

We all know about his injury record but I was still a big admirer of his thinking his role would be to come on late in the game and shore up the defence if we were holding on to a lead. I never thought he would make it as a regular starter.
It seems the Sunderland habit of 'the less he plays the better is' kicked in as I've been very disappointed with him lately. He used to seem to make up for lack of pace by great reading of the game and well timed tackles. Now he just looks slow and off the pace and has been a liability on several occasions. Sad but time to let him go. Hope we don't renew his loan.
