    Default The Word "Caveat"

Why is every fucker and his dog saying this all of a sudden? I'd never even heard of it till about 6 months ago and now it must be the most overused word in journalism

Seems like it's a legal term but every time I turn the radio on some Collymore or other is spilling it from their mouths

    Or is it just me?

I agree, it is all over now.

people that find out the meaning of a word that they didn't know before tend to use it at every given opportunity to try and sound intelligent, much like when you remember someones name you havn't remembered in ages

Part of the tendency for shallow people to pick up on words / phrases that they hear from someone they admire / arselick. Hadn't noticed the caveat thing but there was a thing at work a while ago with 'vanilla' which I still don't understand.
