Re: Which single international match has featured the most Sunderland players?
The closest one I can think of was Rebublic of Ireland v Cameroon in the 2002 world cup:
Rep of Ireland: Given, Gary Kelly, Breen, Staunton, Harte (Reid 78), McAteer (Finnan 45), Holland, Kilbane, Kinsella, Duff, Robbie Keane.
Subs Not Used: Carsley, Connolly, Cunningham, Dunne, Alan Kelly, Kiely, Morrison, O'Brien, Quinn.
Booked: McAteer, Finnan, Reid.
Goal: Holland 52.
Cameroon: Alioum, Kalla, Wome, Song, Lauren, Geremi, Eto'o, Foe, Olembe, Tchato, Mboma (Suffo 69).
Subs Not Used: Alnoudji, Djemba-Djemba, Epalle, Job, Kameni, Kome, Mettomo, N'Diefi, Ndo, Njanka, Songo'o.
Booked: Kalla.
Goal: Mboma 39.
Breen, McAteer and Kilbane were our players and Quinn was in the squad. I can't remember if Harte or Reid were with us at that time. Harte might have been but I think it was too early for Reid. Also, Cameroon had Mboma in the side, who had only just finished a loan spell with us. Does that count.
