Default Which single international match has featured the most Sunderland players?

Summat like Wales vs Rep Ireland? Or way back in the mists of time did we feature the entire Scotland squad?

Or will England / Ghana get a look in?

Tells us something about modern days football, if an English Premier League side has more players from Ghana than from England.

I well remember a game between Arsenal and bayern Munich, where the only English player on the pitch played for Munich and was actually canadian !!

Not our fault the English manager is twat who will only favour Sunderland players the moment they're no longer Sunderland players

    Agree,

IIRC in Saturdays starting line-up were only 2 players not from London or Birmingham.

Seems that this Italian Moron-Manager of yours does not like travelling in England!!

2002 world cup, Republic of Ireland squad had a lot (by SAFC standards) of our players - McAteer, Quinny, Kilbane at least - maybe one or twq more. If they played USA or Denmark you could add Tommy Sorenson or Claudio Reyna to the list

The closest one I can think of was Rebublic of Ireland v Cameroon in the 2002 world cup:

Rep of Ireland: Given, Gary Kelly, Breen, Staunton, Harte (Reid 78), McAteer (Finnan 45), Holland, Kilbane, Kinsella, Duff, Robbie Keane.
Subs Not Used: Carsley, Connolly, Cunningham, Dunne, Alan Kelly, Kiely, Morrison, O'Brien, Quinn.
    Booked: McAteer, Finnan, Reid.
    Goal: Holland 52.
Cameroon: Alioum, Kalla, Wome, Song, Lauren, Geremi, Eto'o, Foe, Olembe, Tchato, Mboma (Suffo 69).
Subs Not Used: Alnoudji, Djemba-Djemba, Epalle, Job, Kameni, Kome, Mettomo, N'Diefi, Ndo, Njanka, Songo'o.
    Booked: Kalla.
    Goal: Mboma 39.

Breen, McAteer and Kilbane were our players and Quinn was in the squad. I can't remember if Harte or Reid were with us at that time. Harte might have been but I think it was too early for Reid. Also, Cameroon had Mboma in the side, who had only just finished a loan spell with us. Does that count.
