Do Barcelona need more balance because they play Messi, a left footed player, on the right wing?

Really don't understand why people think you must be left footed to play left back.

    Messi doesn't play right wing

How many of the top sides in the country have right sided left backs?

And thats what we're saying we don't want Bardsley playing there regularly.

    You sure?

Well he's another example closer to home. Steed Malbranque on the left wing.

What about if a player is both footed? Can he not play in any position 'cos he won't fit?

    Mignolet

    Hutton - Turner - Mensah - Taiwo

    Cattermole - Muntari

    Sessegnon

    Welbeck - Gameiro - Gyan

Are you comparing Bardsley with Messi here?

He's been good there, but we should forever be looking for ways to improve the team.

Left wing is not left back

If a player is two footed then its not a problem, Phil Bardsley isn't a two footed player.

No, not in any way. But I am showing that a player doesn't necessarily have to play in a position depending on which foot they're better with.

What did you google to find that out?

Fabio Da Silva (Manchester United) is right footed, but plays as a left back.

Exactly. Teams will eventually figure out how to play against Bardlsey if he's our first choice left back. Him cutting inside works occasionally but it doesn't give us good balance considering Malbranque/Zenden also like to roam inside.

He's a lot more two-footed than Bardsley will ever be though.
