they dont listen to their fans and IMHO the fans groups we have are a token gesture. If the club arent going to speak with them and meet with them in a meaningful way then they should disband them because the fans are being duped.

I do know that Ellis short turned up at one of the BLC meetings because I know the lad from the CLS Branch who was there. We need more of that type of activity not less.

    The Tesco example is relevant.

The fans are the club and the club should be run for their benefit before anyone else.

I think the word support is misused in this context.

They are lapsed supporters at best.

I thought it disinegenuous of NQ to congratulate the fans for selling out the LFC game and not mentioning the £10 tickets. It now sounds as though he is a pied piper and everyone dances to his tune.

I indicated that a football club chairman indicating that he "despised" a section of our support was frankly disgraceful irrespective of the motives.

I indicated that in his interview with MP's during the week he was lauded for two supporters groups we have - however he neglected to mention that the Directors hand in their apologies for the meetings regularly and one of the groups, the SLC has met once in a year.

I neglected to make the point about football having the tax system changed to fund cheaper tickets but thats another one.

The PR surrounding SAFC is now bizarre and when it is nationally discussed in the media for one the hard pressed SAFC fans are portrayed in a poor light.

Whether I get the chance to make these points to Quinn on air in a couple of weeks time remains to be seen.

As for the abuse on this thread....do me a favour. It wont stop me making very valid points. As always football club chairmen should always remain accountible for what they say and do.
you make some good points there, but for me Quinny is still the best we could have in his position, so try not to forget the good he has done for SAFC when arguing about him- people who sound like they are slagging the bloke off deserve very short shrift from SAFC fans imo as I fucking love the bloke and what he is trying to achieve, but I do agree that much though we love him, he needs to be accountable nonetheless and so the few negative things at the club do need to be highlighted and discussed.

Agree they have to hear the fans opinions, but after that they have to do what they think is right to progress the club even if it is unpopular with the fans at the time.

If some had their way we'd still be stuck in Roker in front of 20K or less, probably a few divisions lower too.

Nonsense, I don't have any form with MBH.

I posted a memory of a match I attended at Leeds.
He said I was a liar.
I dispute this and he repeated his accusation.
Other people confirmed that what I'd said was true.
MBH didn't have the guts/courtesy to apologise.

In my view that makes him a gutless hypicrite but certainly not the reason I despise his pompous and attention seeking pontificating regarding the club.

    You're entirely incorrect there.
