Default Why no scheduled PL fixtures on FA cup 6th round day?

And they whinge about fixture congestion etc.....

No doubt a few would always bite the dust (a maximum of 8 of 10 games, but how likely is that?)

Didn't used to be the case did it?

Guessing that there's no outstanding games that need to be rearanged from the teams that are knocked out

It's fucking bonkers - there's games on cup final day but not the 6th round

True, but surely there's a midweek schedule between now and end of season?

This could be played on this Saturday, with rearranged games reverting to that week...

Was thinking this meself. When I were a lad all 1st and 2nd division fixtures were cancelled on 3rd and 4th round day; although the dates were set for the following rounds a full set of league fixtures were scheduled; any games involving teams still in the cup were postponed. Simple.

We could be guaranteed another Saturday home game every season

No it didn't. It is fucking shit,it feels like the season was put on hold weeks ago.

Helped us with our injuries I suppose, but it is fucking boring when its like this.

Even more nonsensical when you consider all the games at Xmas and New Year. The Villa away game scheduling was idiotic.
