    Default Sardinia & Corsica

You lot recently gave some great advice about what to do on a 3 day trip to Rome and I also found a Sunderland lad who's helping with easy access to the Vatican, Colosseum etc.

So I thought I'd ask you wonderful people about Sardinia & Corsica ............. we've been to Corsica twice and love it. This year, in September, we're going for 2 weeks and then taking the ferry to Sardinia, where we've not been, for another 2 weeks.

We're taking our campervan, with the boat, and we like to get into the mountains as well as exploring the coastline ....... we usually moor the boat and get off into the interior for some 20/25 mile walks and some 'wild camping'.

We're more interested in the genuine culture and 'real life' of places rather than night life. In Corsica we once ended up at a mad BBQ affair with a family of farmers/hunters and their neighbours who only spoke Corsican. We only speak French so it was difficult but we managed and it was incredible ..... it was 40 miles from the nearest village and it was like being on top of the world.

By the end of the night they had the guitars out and were signing ancient Corsican songs under the stars and, due to the alcohol, we were singing along with them!

Anywhere, I'm rambling as usual, so anyone have any good advice?

Merci, but I think it's an even bigger achievement for a sweaty to be able to write without that horrible accent
