Wrexham have banned fans from flying banners at the Racecourse that criticise team manager Dean Saunders.
The ex-Wales star came in for criticism from fans during a run of poor form and results earlier this season.
A club statement read: "Banners, like the one to sack Dean Saunders, will not be allowed in the ground, only banners supportive of the team are allowed."
But a spokesman for the Wrexham Supporters' Trust (WST) said the vast majority of fans support Saunders.
"They talk about banners to sack Dean Saunders when I don't ever remember seeing one of those," said WST committee member Spender Harris.
"I'm sure they must've seen one at some point but the last home game I think all the fans were shouting his name.
"And we're under a tremendous run under his stewardship at the moment. I would like to say that 99.99% of supporters are behind Dean Saunders so it is really confusing."
Wrexham have won seven Blue Square Bet Premier games in a row, and the statement on Wrexham's website also rounded on Saunders' critics for displaying a lack of confidence in the manager.

It read: "For those of you who urged us to sack Dean Saunders, who was clueless, had lost the dressing room, etc, etc, please eat some humble pie and sing especially loud."
The decision to ban critical banners aimed at Saunders was announced in a statement from the club's board of directors that also castigated the "misreporting and "scaremongering" over the future of the Racecourse amid an aborted bid to sell the club.
The club's backers earlier claimed that "adverse" publicity prompted Van Morton Investments to pull out of a deal to buy the club, along with the Racecourse and training complex.
However, Wrexham's directors confirmed that ex-Chester owner Stephen Vaughan has shown an interest in investing in the club.

The club also claims to be in contact with two other potential investors who have insisted on confidentiality about their identities.
Club owner Geoff Moss has made no secret of his desire to bring in new backers and the statement added: "The level of personal abuse and harassment to the owners and their families has only heightened their desire to exit.
"Despite this they have supported Dean Saunders in the transfer window with Mark Creighton and Jordan McMillan joining for the final push.
"We urge you to turn up in great numbers on Tuesday [Wrexham host Crawley] to get behind the team (and help our cash flow), as well as at all our remaining home games.
"Your support is so helpful to the team, clap your hands, sing your heads off, make a noise, but no abuse please."

i agree it seems to be - no banners that the club don't agree with. was it not a few years ago wrexham fans collected money to save the club/ground
