Default Spurs game - couple of questions

Alright guys (and girls!). Hibs fan from Scotland here... me and a few mates are heading down to Newcastle this weekend for one of our birthdays and we're planning on making the short trip to the SoL for your game against Tottenham on Saturday eve, which will be everyone's first time there.

Not got tickets yet, I phoned up the other day and the guy I spoke to said to phone back tomorrow to see if there would be walk-ups available. You's reckon this will be the case? Also which area of the stand is best for atmosphere? We'll be having a few drinks throughout the day so wanna sit somewhere where there's a bit noise/atmosphere. Would there be walk-ups for this area or best to get our tickets beforehand?

Also any decent pubs in/around the ground? Not sure what time we'll be getting the train from Newcastle but we'll probably plan it so we have time for a couple before the game. Is getting to the ground from the train station relatively hassle-free?

Cheers in advance, and here's hoping for a decent game!

Walk up tickets are normally only available for the Premier Concourse I think, the top tier bit above the North stand. No atmosphere there really, so get tickets in advance I'd say.

SW corner is best for atmosphere probably, you might be able to get a few tickets in somewhere near that area, West stand maybe?

welcome to ya for fetching some folk down. Yes walk ups will be available but you can also buy in advance and pick up on day. Advance option might save you fiver a head and ensure you all sit together which is worth considering depending on size of party. Sunlun train station 15 mins ish walk from sol and weatherspoons pub a minute further away.
Hope you have a cracking trip and as an aside love the Royal circle cafe bar

Haha, not sure the Hibs messageboard would go for that - they're still as traumatised as me by the amount of inane shit he posted, not to mention the infamous slipper-spanking revelation.

Cheers for the responses so far!

Tickets are selling well for this game so id buy in advance , West Stand virtually sold out so your prob better off trying to get something in North Stand Lower . Buy online at Safc .com , choose buy tickets , home games & it gives you a stadium layout with available tickets in all sections of the stadium. Hope yous enjoy your day.
