Aye, fair comment. I was thinking more about the venue, grub, drinks prices etc. It's in Liquid nightclub which I've never been to but doesn't sound quite right for a comedy venue.

If the 3 who are supposedly regular acts there that performed at the dinner I was at on Friday are owt to go by, I wouldn't get your hopes up. To be fair, one was good, the other two were appallingly bad.

It's good news that The Stand is opening in Newcastle. Their Glasgow and Edinburgh clubs are amazing

the one in leeds was canny. Decent scran prices werent too bad either. five peroni in an ice bucket was something like £12 notes. The turns are no different to most club acts to be fair. theres some good and some complete shite. Part of bar risa

There's a bloke I'd like to see called Rick Right performing there on Fri/Sat, 18/19 Feb, but I need to research the other acts first - Phil Butler (rave review in the Guardian), Paul Pirie and Jason Patterson.

There's a Groupon offer today for £10 including a drink, a burger and 'VIP entrance' to the aftershow at Liquid, whatever that is.
