How would your lot react if he goes there then? Understand the fact that Liverpool arent likely to get top 4 again for a long time and say "fair enough, its a lot of money for a bloke who is at his peak", or will there be a lot of vitriol towards him for moving to another english club?

Know how we feel Joe, know how we feel. I think Torres probably meant what he said about Liverpool, unfortunately you guys are considerably shitter than what he ever anticipated.

And seeing as he said the same things about Atletico Madrid, he couldnt go back to Spain either (except to atleti), leaving him with just Italy.

Good. That's a boost to our chances of euro football.

So if Torres does go to Chelski, which Striker do they offload, and does that unlock the doors to a bunch of other striker moves.

Perhaps one to us that even our illustrious ITKs haven't thought of yet

TBH, he's in his mid 20's, he's going to be paid 150k+ pw and he'll be living in London.
He'll be alongside Drogba, and playing in a very strong team, albeit who have slipped a bit.
Liverpool may have been taken over, but I dont believe their financial woes have disappeared. They need to do some serious rebuilding, especially at the back.
A 50m warchest will be just the job. Problem is would you let Kenny the codger choose who you want the money spent on? He could be gone in May.
